Came earlier than expected and I absolutely love it! Sent as a gift to my grandmothers house and she loved it too! Ended up buying a lamp for myself and I can't wait for it to come!
It's beautiful and I love it! You'll need one of those flat round batteries to work the remote, but it will turn on and off without the remote. The remote is just for doing lighting effects. Note that the lamp part does not attach to the wooden base--it just sits on top. I have cats that like to knock things over, so I'll be using some museum putty to keep it in place.
Delivery took awhile as it is custom made and working with acrylic is a slow process. The lamp is better than I expected. No flaws, scratches or air bubbles, great job. It will run for days on a phone charger portable battery. I didn't want my young grandson using a power adapter to plug into the outlet or getting the wire tangled. I made a stand with a case for the charger/wires that he can paint to his liking. Definitely recommend Hirosart!
